Artium is the Basque Centre-Museum of Contemporary Art in Vitoria-Gasteiz, that actually exposes part of its collection in two paralell exhibitions outside Vitoria-Gasteiz. In the United States and until last 1st September and thanks to the collaboration of the Cervantes Institute of New York the exhibition called "about men and women" tried to "reveal a range of different approaches to the idea of being a man or woman, from the purely artistic to psychological or descriptive viewpoints." This same exhibition is available in Chicago from 13th September and until next November 9th.
On the other hand the exhibition "While Brasilia was born. Spanish art in the Artium collection" -which has exposed in Brasilia in that will expose in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo during next winter- will try to " illustrate the status of art in Spain in the 1950s, the period during which Brasilia was designed and constructed". This exhibition is also organized in conjunction with the Cervantes Institute of Rio de Janeiro.
Finally, Artium´s current exhibition in Vitoria-Gasteiz "Zhù Yi! Chinese Contemporary Photography" will end next 23rd of September.
